VERY IMPORTANT!
Keep insecticides, fumigants, flea collars, pest strips, dry erase markers, cleaners, etc. away from your insects. Only use a mild soap and water when cleaning containers.
CRICKETS
UNPACKING: Upon arrival, do NOT open box. Allow crickets to adjust to room temperature, this is especially important during the cold winter months. In 1-3 hours, when the crickets are ready, cut open the box and empty into the home you have prepared for them.
CARE: You can use a 10 gallon aquarium or a rubber tote box with a lid to provide your crickets a home. The temperature should be kept at 70° - 80° F. Fresh clean water (a sponge in a shallow dish) and feed (chicken mash, oatmeal, cheerios, left-overs) should always be available for your crickets so that they don’t eat each other. They don’t need direct lighting. Instead, use egg cartons and paper towel tubes to give the crickets places to hide.
MEALWORMS, GIANTS AND SUPERWORMS

UNPACKING: Our bulk packaged worms come to you in a bag stuffed with paper. Dump the contents of the bag into a bucket, remove the paper and discard. Transfer the worms to a container or tub filled with wheat bran or meal.
CARE: Mealworms and Giants can be kept dormant at 45° F.
However, you should never refrigerate Superworms, they like it hot. Add wheat bran or meal to worms at a 2:1 ratio. The worms eat and burrow in the meal. They also need a moisture source (carrots, potatoes, apples) to remain lively and to keep them from drying out. Remove any old moisture food that the worms don’t eat rapidly. Keep mealworms out of direct sunlight.

WAXWORMS
CARE: Waxworms can be kept in the cup and shavings you receive them in and don’t need to be feed. Keep them in a dry, dark, cool place. Waxworms do best if stored at 50°-60° F.
